Random...?!

Ok so I know that this page isn't dedicated to technology, unless it evolves around cooking, but this is just an amazing thing that is going to be happening. If you follow Apple, then you should know that Apple is probably releasing a new iPhone. The iPhone 4G looks quite amazing. New outer design, video chat, and multitasking capabilities... Now I'm not a technology review but I just wanted to bring this to the attention of my viewers that enjoy Apple and the iPhone. Just so you know what will be coming up in the future. Future release dates on the phone are speculated to be around June, the traditional release date. I'm also posting a website about it, check it out: http://www.mobilemag.com/2010/02/12/iphone-4g-rumors-specs-what-will-it-be-here-it-is/

Well thanks for reading guys and check that page out. The phone looks amazing, and I know I can't wait to get my hands on my very own.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese, Awesome Comfort Food!

I love Macaroni and Cheese, I personally think it i one of the best forms of comfort food anyone can ever have, well if you taste love it, that is. My reasons for loving it so much is because it has the perfect combinations of pasta and cheese. I love love pasta and cheese. If I thought pasta and cheese could help me stay extremely healthy I would totally eat it all the time but sadly it does’t work that way. Always remember to take things in moderation. The old saying, “Too much of a good thing, can lead to a bad thing,” is so true. Especially when it comes to cheese and pasta.

The following list is the ingredients that will be needed:

  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 1/2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 3/4 cups shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsps. minced fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup fat-free evaporated milk
  • 1 3/4 cups 2% cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

So after you have gathered all the ingredients that you need follow these directions:

Directions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, cover and microwave onion on high for 2 minutes or until tender; drain.
  2. Add the macaroni, cheddar cheese, parsley.
  3. In a blender or food processor, combine the milk, cottage cheese, mustard, salt and pepper; cover and process until smooth.
  4. Stir into macaroni mixture.
  5. Pour into a 1 1/2-qt. baking dish coated with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Bake, uncovered, at 350' for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.

I hope you enjoy this recipe and remember to keep everything in moderation! Enjoy and thanks for reading!

Let's hope this is it...!

So I have been gone for a bit... School and life have been a little hectic... and next September is just going to get even more crazy. Well I see that the last post was in November, which makes me feel bad for not posting sooner, but sadly I just haven't really had the time. Well I'm going to try and post something once a week now, even know it was suppose to be everyday. We'll see if we can get back to that once a day thing again soon. Some good news, I'll be moving in May, going to be living with a very close friend in Ottawa...
Really excited about that! I have also been going over some ideas of creating a a video blog, or even just start out with a personal blog that I can try updating regularly and then moving up to a video blog from there. Tell me what you guys think and we can see from there. I know I know its going to be a lot of work, especially the editing and everything, so maybe starting off slow will be cool and see where it goes from there :).
Anyways tell we what you guys think and we'll go from there...
I've also been thinking about moving to wordpress.com any suggestions on that?
Well we'll see what the future holds!
And remember stay tuned!

A great recipe for the end of autumn....

So this is one of my favourite soup recipes, Fall Harvest Soup. I personally find that it taste so good and it is extremely healthy for you. Its just chalked full of veggies and and all those good things. This is the one thing that I try and eat a lot of because of how much nutrients are in this soup. One of the other thing about it is, it is a pureed soup, and that is a turn off for some people. Don’t let it bother you though because it taste so good and you’ll love it after you have it no lie. So lets get into this recipe a bit here.

The ingredients that you will need are:

  • 15mL butter
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small potato
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ butternut squash (250mL chopped)
  • 500mL chicken stock
  • 50mL milk or cream
  • 2mL salt
  • 2mL pepper

The directions for this recipe are actually quite easy and if you follow them you’ll be able to make this amazing dish. It is so easy but it does take sometime for it to be completed, but in the end it is so worth it.

The directions are:

  1. Wash, peel, and dice potato and carrot.
  2. Chop onion.
  3. Wash and peel squash. Slice off both ends and cut squash in half. Using a spoon, scoop out the seeds. Then dice up ½ of a squash until you have 250mL of diced butternut squash.
  4. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter and add chopped onions. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon, until tender and soft.
  5. Add potatoes, carrots, squash and soup stock and bring to a boil.
  6. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 14 minutes until all the vegetables are soft.
  7. Turn off heat and mash soup with a potato masher until all the vegetables are finely mashed. Then puree with hand blender.
  8. Stir in milk and seasonings.

So this is the recipe to make this amazing recipe. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! Enjoy!

New Post?!

So now... Could it be? New post are coming out? Could it be true?

Yes yes everyone it is true. New post will be coming soon. I know I know you're all asking, where have you been? Well the fates have decided that I was going be attending college for Pre-Health on September 11th, 2009, and that is what I did. Even know it's a college program it is still pretty tough, and the best part is its going to be getting tough again next semester... :( booo. This is my doing I guess because I want to become a doctor, and I get to start University next year. Health Science fun fun. Anyways enough about me, and my school ambitions. The blog will be getting more post though and I will keep those up even if it kills me.

Oh also I am trying to create a few new blogs. Maybe one about what's going on with me. Or a medical one, or a hobbies one, or etc. Tell me what you guys think. I'm also thinking about bringing in guest writers and seeing how that goes!

Well there should be a new post up on monday. Keep checking back and tell all you're friends.

P.s. If I'm kind of taking the blog into a more nutritious mainly because that's the way my life has started turning. I'm also thinking about adding exercise and working out too... Again tell me what you think!

You're blogger,

Scott
